It looks like Bungie is trying to take a few aspects of CoD, and underlay them in the Halo universe. Strong Halo elements, with a somewhat new interface, sort of like a beta CoD with a Halo skin  |

Probably one of the most accurate comments i've seen you say 
And to adolf -
Yeah... I am almost excited enough for this game to pump MORE money into gaylo3 by buying ODST (plus side is I get midship) and therefore Reach Beta... But after the release of these videos I am VERY skeptical on how this game iwll turn out...
Looks like halo is going the route of "specialties" like .every.single.other.fps... Really makes me mad b/c Halo is ?the only? quality fps where you all start the game equal - one of the reasons I want to stick with the franchise. Ability to have jumpack, rolling, sprinting, camo just seem odd to me.. hopefully 343 takes what they did in halo 3 with customization and just essentially lets us build the game - they just provide the tools - because I don't want to see jet packs in mlg...
With that said I can definitely feel some Halo CE roots in this game...
Idk, we'll see - i'm for sure cautiously optimistic.

I think im giving this a chance. With a powerful pistol making a return and hit scan weapons, this game WILL be competitive.

The Beta crack wasn't really a crack, it just allowed you access to a few different partially coded maps. AI wasn't even running, and at the furthest edges, just barely. Anyways, you would need to understand MPQ archiving, as well as having a modded b.net account to get anywhere.
Regardless, any sort of 'beta crack' would be useless, as invites are now out on the web. |

They are really hard to get from what I hear. Some selling for over a hundred on ebay.

From what I've seen, the game still isn't my cup of tea. Completely uninterested to be honest.
I'm not even really sure how I got it, just got back on my b.net account one day and shazam, there it was. Oh well, I'll have to think about it Mattius :/ |

Reading developers and interviews of developers (shacknews and bungie weekly update) really has me excited that the halo series is back. Can't wait to touch it for first time May 3rd (I'll likely be taking a day off work sometime that week...monday or friday) and get some real impressions.
So far the only negative thing I have found about Reach is the beta is released on Monday  ...literally everything I have read is EXACTLY how I would develop a game.

For me, what they say with words don't mean anything really, the game will show it's true colors soon enough.
I would guess that the beta is going to be almost identical to the way Halo 3 was set up.
The multiplayer will be almost the exact same. I'm praying for Bungie. |
